As an Applied Behavioral Analysis Technician (ABAT), you will Provide one-on-one support to adolescents (12-17 years old) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using ABA principles. You will:

• Support client care and development by implementing ABA-based interventions, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting skill-building through structured programs and psycho-educational groups.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance by collecting behavior data, recording daily activities, monitoring medication, and maintaining records in KIPU.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with caregivers, therapists, staff, and leadership to ensure consistency in treatment and care.
• Promote safety, learning, and growth through crisis intervention, caregiver training, active engagement, educational support, and completing required trainings.

This is a full-time, hourly position working Sunday & Monday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday  from 6 AM to 2 PM.  It pays $22 to $27 per hour based on your experience.

To be a good fit for the Applied Behavioral Analysis Technician (ABAT) opportunity, you will have:
Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Basic Computer skills i.e. internet, email, and Word.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• BCAT Certification through the Behavioral Intervention Certification Counsel (BICC); or the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• Related  experience dealing with adolescents with autism.
• First aid and CPR certification 
• Current drivers’ license and clear DMV record
• Possesses a High School diploma or GED.
• AA/BA in mental health related field preferred.
• Demonstrates a genuine desire to work with the population served.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Able to sit and stand for long periods, bending, stooping and/or frequent walking.
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Position requires walking up a steep incline, oftentimes in the heat.
  • Constantly operates a computer with other office machinery.
  • Frequently communicates with other employees and clients.
  • Must be able to travel between assigned facilities via car.

This position requires a valid California driver’s license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR) in accordance with our company standards. 

In addition, you must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check, live scan, physical and TB test to work at the facility.

As a Applied Behavioral Analysis Technician (ABAT), you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging experience for our clients with co-occurring conditions.

You will provide rehabilitative support regarding the care of a co-occurring population, ensuring that clients and staff have what they need to follow the lead of the Clinical Director and Executive Director. We're well organized and there is always someone to reach out to for support, should you need it. 
Each shift will include general daily activities (i.e., waking clients, providing hygiene baskets, monitoring from a distance, doing chores, ensuring meds are taken, etc.). Specifically, you may:

• Provide line-of-sight supervision to clients and skill-building, psycho-educational and/or support groups.
• Complete house-related chores as assigned.
• Strive to increase professional growth and effectiveness by completing all required training.
• Provide crisis intervention services when authorized and necessary.
• Maintain active participation with the clients at all times.
• Prepare and monitor medication administration then document all details in KIPU.
• Document clients’ daily activities, unusual behavior, and pertinent information in KIPU.
• Open communication with staff, therapist, and Program Director.
• Assist the Educational Director during designated school times, with education-related activities and monitoring of the client’s computer internet use.
• Encourage clients' participation in all daily activities and promote positive interactions among peers.
• Carry out other responsibilities as delegated.
